it has taken me this long to finally decide to blog about BOSTON! woot! it was great! first thing upon reaching boston, i was like, ah... skyscrapers.. singapore.. (: hahaha
wicked.. oh wow! i want to see it again! okay, so now the entire story of that day..
tuesday, spirit week, wacky hat and hair day.. wore my french hat. the whole day, all of us marchingband people were awaiting excitedly for 3.30 when we'd all get on the coach bus for BOSTON! yeah!
i pretty much slept on the bus. changed into my skirt on the bus too. and then we all lined up at the boston opera house. the operahouse is so grand. gold everywhere and mirrors and chandeliers. all the things i like in a room all at once! jamie kept bugging me to exchange tickets with him because of the seatings, so he could sit with janaye, shoobeedoo and ben and some other people. after some time i was like, fine. and i'm glad i finally swapped because i sat with hana! and i got an end seat! meaning i could stretch my feet out to the aisles!
dood! those seats were cramping! like the leg room is so small that you're forced to sit straight up! so annoying.. grr.
then the ushers kept telling us all that we weren't allowed to take pictures of the stage and the performance and blah and if they found anything from the show on the internet, they would sue and more blah. like, yeah, whatever. you know, i found a video of defying gravity performance on youtube, why dont you sue!? its not like you're going to lose much money anyway if people post up pictures/videos on the internet. i mean, its understandable if the camera flashes would totally ruin the audience attention, but the copyrights... just stupid.. i mean, you dont have to tell us so many times. we heard you already.
i really wanna see the musical again!! glenda's character is so... perky! and well, yeah, that kind of friend is irritating. but she's like a hamster or something who keeps bouncing up and down.. like the scene where she's like
pohhhopuuulerr.. lar! oh wow.
okay, you wanna how deep in my head the wicked music is stuck in my head? i have been listening to all sorts of music and i have played all sorts of songs in band, AND I'M STILL HUMMING TO WICKED! hahaha :D
yesterday was a tiring day. i stayed in school for about 13 hours continuously all together. 7am-2pm school, 2-5 hall decorations, 5-8 marchingband!
so the seniors won hall decorations and the whole spirit week as usual, because they are seniors. to all those people who are still complaining that us, juniors should've won hall decorations, please get over it. there's more important things in life to worry about. like maybe your grades and your future? we're going to be the seniors next year anyway.
we were almost going to perform wicked after doing the anthem and the silly school song, that unlike in singapore we dont sing every week. but then skeff decided that we were missing too many parts from like the drumline and stuff. sigh. it would've been great if we could though. i'm obsessed with wicked now! oh wow! i really love marching band! we definetely rule out those skanky cheerleaders.
going to watch monk, then psych, then HOUSE! :D ...now. cheerio!
