ah! today is such a great fine day! everything solid. yeap. oh crap.. now i just thought about stuff that made my day not so good. well i'm feeling overall excellent because ah.. jazz band was good and i just saw a rainbow in the sky!
for the first time in jazzband i played a nice solo! its not the greatest, but it wasn't bad. i liked it at least. although i dont even remember exactly what i played.. what i do know is one part which i told myself i definitely wanted to include while i was fooling around at home. i struggled so much the other weekend, because i just wasnt able to create a happy melody and well today.. i dont know if you'd call it happy but i think it was definitely much better than all my other times. whee!
on to some stuff that have been bringing me down today. i need to get into wicked serious overachiever mode. i need to do extremely well on my SATs.. like at least 2300 if i want to get into johns hopkins. i want to go there so badly! and yale! yes, i am a overachiever when it comes to colleges. i want yale!! yeah, sure for the name, but dood, its a magnificent and beautiful school! right now, according to my psat results, i would be a 1630.. so i basically need 700 more points. which i hope i can gain real easily.

got 100 on my precalc tests! i swear. i bloody love those bonus questions. they always save my life!
there's a certain french quiz that just doesn't want to go my way though. first time i took it i got 76 and so i made it up today and after passing it in i checked my notes and i got at least 3 wrong! and 3 wrongs can be equivalent to about 15.. why am i so cocky and not use my notes?!

it's the new holsinger piece that we got today in band! and i must say, i lovelovelove it! why you ask? well, darling, i play the melody! :D so nice! i love the thing the first trombone does. one day i wanna play a brass instrument. i still like the sax.. just as i love the violin. but i also wanna try a new instrument, ya know. well, yes, i should master one instrument at a time, but you know me, i cant help but try new things!
oh and another reason why i like this piece is because i was able to siteread just like that! well, some places i was off. like one moment when there was a triplet, i played it like 8th notes. wheeewow.
so it turns out that i'm not going to the dance because my mom's paranoid. she's like, A DANCE. IN THE WINTER??!!... it's too cold!! ARE YOU CRAZY!?

i should definetely take drivers' ed and next year i can send myself! and i know where the place by beals is now! because originally i kept looking across the street and where oh where was a sign that driver's ed?? there is no sign. haha. the guy just uses a classroom that is i guess part of the church across the street.
i hope tomorrow ain't a snow day because i want to solo! but then... i dont want to do my english final. damn essay on rhetorical analysis. you know something? mr snow does an analysis of our analysis of well, not another analysis, just stuff. you know.
i wouldn't mind a snowday on wednesday though.. or then again maybe not because i like jazz band. though i like last year's music better..

had another one of those intense precalc tests again today! first page took the longest. the last page, the shortest and easiest. hope i get a nice big fat 100 because i did the two bonus. i just hope. hopefully. yeah.
got my schedule for next semester and its basically the same except for a different study hall with madame! ooh! you know what i hope though?.. if those two or maybe three idiots are in the same study hall as me.. yeah..
learning rhythms in theory. kinda scared about the ap exams for theory because i'm not in the ap class.. anyway, no. must stick with it and do the exam. gotta have faith.
oh yeah. yesterday was a snow day! i dont know if i should be sad or happy. i'm happy because then there's snow in jan and global warming doesnt seem to be getting here so fast (whether or not thats true, i dont know) but i'm glummed because i saw snow melting and the weather so nice and warm that i felt like yay! spring! well, that's good ole maine for ya.
and the snow is so soft and fluffy that i cant float on it! so when i go catch the bus i'm running and PLUNGE.. step, PLUNGE, step, PLUNGE. ._.

today marks a first...
the first time i smelled pot.. burning. i was on the bus ride home from school, sitting next to lilly pearlman talking about oh you know, the strange weather and pink floyd and led zeppelin (on frank) and then lilly asked, do you smell something burning..? me: *sniff* nope.
a minute or so later, lilly: i smell something me: *sniff* *sniff*.. yeah, i do smell something lilly: yeah, something like pot.. me: pot??.. i thought it smelled like burnt fish (me showing my naivety)
DUN DUN DUN...
15 seconds later...
bus driver, mr shannon ___: (still driving) hey! put that away now! i'm serious, gonna call the cops if you guys don't chris or whateverhisnameiscuziforgot: yeah... mmhmm
meanwhile everyone is looking towards the back of the bus to see who's the one smoking the funky smell. because that dood whateverhisnameis, obviously wasnt the one, because he's, well, a joker you can call it.
heis funny though. like two days ago, during third lunch some dood flipped out at jane and shouted boisterously, FUCK YOU JANE!!!!!!
so a teacher comes over and he's telling that dood not to use the f word and whateverhisnameiscuziforgot was like, no, he was actually using p-h-u-c-k

i havent blogged in forever... well, yeah. the mystery dinner? fantastic! although no one could solve the mystery but the murderer himself. i made my character drunk and tagged along with katie webber. i love mystery dinners. can't wait for the one next year! this one was about a wedding and apparently the day before, someone had an actual wedding reception at the church and allowed us to use their decorations! so nice. totally set the ambience.
during the vacation i had many more wierd weird dreams that followed the dream of that idiot. : dream #1 aliens were having a war on earth. and one alien who apparentely was a star trek member invited those who did not want to remain on the treacherous earth to travel on his chouette star trekky ship! yeah!! i said.. i want!! hahaha and a bunch o peeps wanted too! and there were a bunch of band people, marching band especially AND THE BAND ROOM WAS CONNECTED TO MY HOUSE! ??!! what??!!
and to board the ship, we had to go up in yellow schoo buses! and it ended there.. wow.
dream #2 right after school reopened, it was jazzfest! feb 15! what again??!! and there was a huge, ginormous snowstorm and we still had it anyway!! wow! and i didnt know it was oour jazz fest! and i had classes at usm [dood, that'll be next year!] and so i had to usm and rush and go home to pick up my sax and my jazz clothes. BUT PANIC. I DONT KNOW WHERE MY CLOTHES WENT TO! and another thing, snow was piled high and i couldnt enter through the first floor and so i had to go up to the second floor and there were all these weird people whom i've seen around in school on the second floor and then i woke up.. -.-
dream #3 oh such a silly dream. my thoughts about the skater idiot were proven right. and i eavesdropped on their conversation saying how he liked me. *rolls eyes* and right now i have a silly thought of what if it was like this telepathic dream because after vacation he's started acting wierd weird in my lunches. like, at the corner of my, i see him turning around in chair to see if i'm looking at him. i swear, i bet all this started freshman year and he first thought i liked him because of some misunderstanding and then he couldnt help it or something. STOP IT MAN.
i only noticed recently that i spell weird in a weird way. i spell it wierd. hahaha
after vacation received new music in band by skeff. he wrote this new piece, well maybe it was long ago ot maybe not.. anyway, its called liberty ships! and it relates to south portland's history and why we're let out earlier than other schools in our county. stuff to do with students building ships called liberty ships.
i realize that i actually do band better WITHOUT giggles. oh that crazy kid messes me up. and the funny thing is, even when he's right, i mess up! what's up with that? sometimes i think i'm better without him. try to not listen to boisterous sounds.. BUT HOW TO IGNORE? please la
speaking of band.. i dont know... well... i think skeff doesnt like me that much. what to do right? or maybe i'm just being paranoid. stop being paranoid!!
so some good news eh? well... i got 92 on my physics test!! :D the highest ever.. oh wait sorry. i meant quest! should have more quests man! not tests!

WIZARD OF OZ.
apparently its an allegory of populism. i see how they can be linked and all, but somehow i still feel that its just some classic movie with no meaning but entertainment! [like renee and her absurd conclusion of a meaningless purpose for tim o' brien to write the things they carried] because i grew up watching the wizard of oz! it has always been a classic and always will! i do see the link.. but gahh.. its so hard to accept.
and the ap english. no, i do not respect her silly conclusion. EVERYTHING has a purpose. those that don't have one, don't go anywhere. how do i know? well prove it to me then. write something unpurposeful and it goes places, like winning a prize, well then hey!.. it still had a purpose. to show me something that has no purpose.
youth group in an hour, senate tomorrow morning, jazzband tomorrow afterschool and it was around 60F degrees today! woot!
